Kings and Queens

It’s The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in early June when Queen Elizabeth II will have been on the throne for 60 years. Using topical events is a great way to get children interested in related books and literacy activities, and this month Words for Life has lots of royalty themed activities that you can do with your children. You could bake a Victoria sponge together and involve them in writing and checking items off the shopping list, or you could pick a book to take out from the library together from our top 10 royal-related books.
