Sarah Lowes

What books did you read as a child?
'Anne of Green Gables', 'Orlando the Marmalade Cat', 'A Little Princess' and 'The Secret Garden.'

If you could be a storybook character, who would you be?
If I could be a storybook character, I would be Anne Shirley from 'Anne of Green Gables.'

What’s the best thing about reading?
The best thing about reading is that it takes you somewhere magical and new.

What’s your all-time favourite book?
My all-time favourite children’s book is 'Anne of Green Gables' and my all-time favourite adult book is a tie between Jane Austen’s ‘Emma’ and E.M. Forster’s ‘A Passage to India.’

Sarah Lowes has always believed in the powerful, healing magic of stories and has found them to be a great asset in her work, first as a teacher and later in her psychotherapy practice. When she is not working, Sarah enjoys reading Scandinavian myths, embroidering and experimenting with traditional handicrafts. Her retelling of Snow Queen is available now.
