When I grow up

As a parent you can help your child develop positive goals and ambitions for their future lives. Don’t be afraid to start talking to them about what they might want to do when they grow up, even when they’re very young.

In this theme, we have a book list showing lots of different jobs, a book giveaway with plenty of career-focused titles, an interview from our careers expert, Alice Handelman-Pedroza, and fun activity sheets to download.

To find out more about teaching your child about the world of work, our Words for Work: Dream Big programme is available in schools to provide play and skills-building activities for primary school children to help them starting thinking about careers and goals.
