About Words for Life
Helping children develop literacy skills to succeed in life
Words for Life is brought to you by the National Literacy Trust. We are a UK-based independent charity working with schools and communities to give disadvantaged children the literacy skills to succeed in life.
All of the content on Words for Life has been designed to provide parents, children and young people with activities and support to improve their language, literacy and communication skills from home. Our content has been created by our expert team of early years teachers and practitioners, adapted from our curriculum-based resources for school settings, or created in partnership with companies and publishers who are just as passionate as we are about raising literacy levels.
Explore our quick and easy tips and activities to discover new ways you could boost your child’s literacy skills while having fun chatting, playing and reading together.
