Joan Haig, born in Zambia, was weaned on avocadoes and stories. She has travelled and worked all over the world and now lives with her husband, children and cats in a small cottage in the Scottish Borders.

Joan’s debut novel, is called Tiger Skin Rug. Joan volunteers with her local school’s pupil library team and her first author appearance was as a guest on their in-house ‘Reading Radio’. She is happy to present to groups of all shapes and sizes and would be delighted to join you to lead or take part in assemblies or discussion panels, run a creative workshop, or read from her work.
