Author of the week
Our author of the week is Michelle Robinson, the writer behind Do Not Disturb the Dragons illustrated by Sharon Davey and The World Made a Rainbow illustrated by Emily Hamilton.
Do Not Disturb the Dragons is set in Wondermere - the luckiest kingdom in the land, thanks to the dragons that nest on top of the castle. Everyone who lives there has to follow the rules and make sure the dragons stay happy. But Princess Grace is determined to prove they're a load of old swamp rot!
The World Made a Rainbow is about a girl and her brother during lockdown who together with their parents create a rainbow to put in their window to give hope to people passing by.

The Silly Book of Weird and Wacky Words by Andy Seed
My whole family adores this book! It’s absolutely jam-packed with silly facts and jokes. Dip in and open it on any page and you’re guaranteed a laugh.
I Can Only Draw Worms by Will Mabbitt
This is one of those picture books that people of all ages will enjoy because it’s so much fun. A delightfully daft story that’s a hoot to read aloud.
Witch in Winter by Kaye Umansky
This is the first in a trilogy, crammed with magical characters and fantastical ideas. Like all of Kaye Umansky’s stories, it’s funny, charming and just the right kind of cosy.
