RSL Literature Matters: Fellows and friends writing top tips

The Write Space

The Royal Society of Literature believes that literature shapes society, and that it can change an individual life. Through the RSL's Literature Matters programme of events, awards, writing workshops and top tips, you can discover ways to express yourself through writing from some of the UK's greatest authors.

With these top tips, watch RSL Fellows Damian Barr, Peter Frankopan, Salena Godden, Catherine Johnson, Deborah Moggach and Vinay Patel share their advice for how to get writing and what to pay attention to as you go.

If you want more, you can write along with other RSL Fellows and their friends too, like Neil Gaiman with actor Yetide Badaki, Inua Ellams with broadcaster Gemma Cairney, and Nikesh Shukla with comedian Josie Long.

Watch all of the workshop videos on the RSL website.
