Celebrate International Dot Day!

International Dot Day

What is International Dot Day?

International Dot Day is a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration. The celebration began back in 2009, when teacher Terry Shay introduced her class to Peter. H. Reynold's book The Dot.

This award-winning story of self-expression and creativity is about the journey of Vashti who thinks she can't draw. Her teacher knows that everyone has a creative spirit and encourages Vashti to "make her mark." What began with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, inspiring young people and adults around the globe.
