Please note, our Words that Count competition has now closed for 2023.

These terms and conditions (“T&Cs”) apply to any competitions run through The National Literacy Trust social media accounts and The National Literacy Trust ambassadors, website, newsletter or through any other forum unless stated otherwise.

All competitions are operated and run by The National Literacy Trust, a company registered under the laws of England and Wales whose registered address is 68 South Lambeth Road, London, SW8 1RL (also referred to in these T&Cs as “The National Literacy Trust”, “we”, “us” and “our”).

Our Competitions

Our competitions may be held on our and our Ambassdor’s Instagram/TikTok account via a post or story, website or newsletter and are free to enter. The specific entry details for the competition being entered can be found in the Instagram/TikTok post or newsletter in which the competition is promoted.

By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these T&Cs.

There is a limit of one entry per person. Where we have a limited number of entries for a particular competition, we will say so.

We reserve all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

Prizes

Prizes which we state on our Instagram/TikTok account are available to be won by all individuals who enter.

Where a non-cash prize is on offer, there is no cash alternative.

All prizes are non-negotiable or transferable.

The prize value is in pounds (unless stated)

Winners

Our decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

We will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the relevant announcement date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry.

Unless we publish the winner(s) on our social media forum, you may request the last name and country of prize winner(s) by sending a private message to us by emailing contact@literacytrust.org.uk

By entering this competition you give us permission to make your last name and country available in this way if you win. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact The National Literacy Trust at the email address stated above. In such circumstances, The National Literacy Trust must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
