Clap with me

Clap with me.jpg

This game uses clapping and rhymes to entertain your baby. You can help them join in with some of the actions or sounds.

Sit with your baby facing you. This is so they can see what you’re doing clearly. They’ll find it easier to focus on the game.

It goes:

Clap with me, clap clap 1, 2, 3.

Clap clap with me, clap clap 3 and 4.

Clap clap, bees in a hive, clap clap five.

Clap clap 6, 7, 8, clap clap you are great.

Clap clap, 9 and 10, clap clap, let’s do it again.

Good to know

Clapping games help your baby learn motor skills and how to move their hands. The rhyme and repetition will help prepare them for reading when they get older.
