Activities about nature

The next time you and your child are taking a walk in nature, download our Nature Activity Booklet.

Whether you are heading to your local park, woodland area or nature reserve, you’ll be able to try these activities in any green space. From looking out for minibeasts to creating bark rubbings, chat and reflect on what you find in nature together. Research evidence shows the positive impact of spending time outdoors on the mental health of both adults and children. Air, wind, rain and sun provide different ‘sensory’ experiences to being inside, which can have a positive effect on our mood. The Healthy People, Healthy Planet booklets will encourage you to chat together and reflect on how we can all help the environment while developing speaking, reading and writing skills.

Indoor activities

If the weather’s not too great and you’ll be spending time inside, try our Home Activity Booklet.

Let’s empower our children to learn about the positive things we can all do for the environment, starting from where we live. You and your child will be introduced to a set of fun, environmental-themed challenges. Discovery easy, practical ways to become an eco-champion through puzzles, reflective writing and sustainable craft activities.

We would like to thank the Bupa Foundation for the generous support of these activity booklets. The Bupa Foundation helps create healthier communities by supporting practical projects that improve both people and planet health.
