Looking after the environment
It’s really important we teach our children all about the environment and what they can do to look after it. So we’re sharing the best books on everything from recycling, conservation, preserving water and single-use plastic. There’s also a tasty vegan recipe, a brilliant activity pack inspired by The Sea by Miranda Krestovnikoff and Jill Calde, a fun recycling arts and crafts idea, and the opportunity for your child to write their own newspaper article about an environmental issue.
Our research has found that children and young people who read non-fiction are more engaged with environmental issues. Check out our non-fiction theme to explore our resources to help you and your little one use non-fiction to learn about the environment and how to protect it!
