Celebrate Storytelling Week at home
Everyone has a special and unique story to tell. Storytelling helps us to connect with others and our heritage, develop oracy skills and build confidence.

What is Storytelling Week?
National Storytelling Week takes place every year and is a celebration of the power of sharing stories. This year it is being celebrated between 30 January and 5 February 2023.
Everyone has a special and unique story to tell. Storytelling helps us to connect with others and our heritage, develop oracy skills and build confidence.
National Storytelling Week is a fantastic opportunity to get to know other people and celebrate their experiences. It’s a wonderful way to learn about family history and different cultures while boosting literacy skills. Stories teach us about the world, allow us to step into someone else’s shoes and feel empathy, help us to relax and can help develop speaking, reading and writing skills.
